Michelle Sole is a safari and polar guide, wildlife photographer and blogger.
Michelle was born in England and spent her childhood between England and Andorra. As a result she was educated in English, Spanish, Catalan and French. Michelle competed for Great Britain as an alpine ski racer for ten years, chasing winters around the world.
As a child Michelle always had a love and respect for nature and animals. After a family holiday to Africa in 2008 she fell in love with elephants and found her calling (and summer!). In 2011 she moved to South Africa and completed her studies to be a field guide. She worked as a safari guide for five and a half years in the Waterberg, South Africa.
In 2017 Michelle spent a year backpacking around the globe, travelling from one national park to another. At the end of the year she swapped the African sun for the Antarctic ice, to share with passengers her passion for whales and birds.
In her free time, Michelle can be found exploring the outdoors with her camera in tow.
Her thrill for adventure, the outdoors and adrenaline are at the core of her photography and writing. Follow her on Facebook: "A Wild Sole" for regular updates.
